Essential for anyone considering cutting back meat or dairy. Offers arguments in many aspects such as environmental, nutritional, and regarding animal welfare. Definitely a life changing book.

I read this book, and it is the main reason I have been vegetarian for almost 11 years now.

I read this book and I've now been a vegetarian for 18 years. Did it make an impact - you could say that.

I received this book a while ago through one of the Goodreads giveaways. I feel that this book really opened up my eyes to the process of food and how as Americans we treat food. I try and lead a healthy lifestyle because of this book. It tends to be a bit saddening though to find out that most of our food is over processed and you really can't get away from how we treat and prepare our food.

I read this in high school, when I had a stronger stomach for tales of factory farming. It set my eating agenda for about 8 years after that. Now I'm back to meat. Perhaps I should read it again.
