I really enjoyed this book! Alex's relationship with Mr. Peterson left me feeling warm and comfortable. Exploring Alex's childhood through his teenage years, it's great to see his character develop as he spends more time with Mr. Peterson. Even though the beginning is almost the ending of the book, I enjoyed getting know how Alex got himself there. Both a funny and a sad read for me.
Graphic: Suicide, Terminal illness, Grief, and Suicide attempt
Moderate: Animal death, Bullying, Death, Drug use, and Car accident
