not enough romance. the smut was great but I was craving a meaningful connection between the fmc and mmc. it felt all lust, no love.

Will Perry is a pro hockey player, widower, and single father. Most days, he's literally just surviving. His hands are pretty busy with his career and his daughter. Unfortunately, he has terrible luck finding her a suitable nanny. In comes Chole Knott. Chole is Ava's kindergarten teacher and when Will finds himself without a nanny, yet again, Chole offers to give him a hand. When the attraction these two have for each other is no longer avoidable, they explode like fireworks. Can they follow the rules they set in place to protect their hearts and Ava?

The chemistry between these two was perfection. I could invision every scene like a movie. 11% in and Kandi reeled me in like a fish. I couldn't help but squeal in delight at some of the things Will said and Chole was so funny at times. The cringy things that came out of her mouth made her that much likeable. Where Will was grumpy and rough around the edges, Chole was fun and entertaining. She brought back the light and life of the family. The growth of these characters was written so well. It was truly a beautiful story with the perfect hea

“I realized, in the week that passed after that fateful night, that I both loved and hated the deal I’d made with Chloe Knott.”

Learn Your Lesson | Kandi Steiner | Kings of the Ice #3

Review: ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️,

**ARC Review**

If you love:
Grumpy/Sunshine
Single Dad/Nanny
Hockey
THEN ADD DADDY P TO YOUR TBR NOW!

Kandi Steiner is one of the queens of sports romance, & she has had me so ready for the grumpy hockey goalie Daddy P's story since book 1 of this Kings of the Ice series, and boy oh boy! He (or Kandi!) did not disappoint me! I devoured this, and loved every second! The characters, their dynamics with each other, the friend group, the found family,,,the "lessons" (dear GOD the lessons!!),,,just EVERYTHING OKAY?!

Will Perry may be the grumpiest grump I've ever read, and that's saying something. He has good reason to be, and witnessing his growth, development, & transformation over the timeline in this book is something that will be hard to forget. He has hardened his heart to everyone, but when he starts to face his fear of loss, it's a thing of beauty.

Chloe is so sweet & I loved her so much! I admire kinder teachers and their patience of saints hearts, and Chloe absolutely embodied that! Her impact on Will & Ava was so special! Loved her growth in this as well! She was already strong & independent, but seeing her let people in to her life was great!

Lastly, little Ava! Maybe it's because I'm a mama & my kiddo is in kinder too, but I adored this little girl! I cried over her and her development more than anything else in this! She was the sweetest little thing!!

Okay, enough for now, I could go on and on lol! This is out 4/19/24, so mark your calendars!!

Will and Chloe’s story is amazing. Ava is absolutely adorable. I love their dynamic together.
This story was emotional, funny, heartwarming, and heartbreaking all at the same time. It loved how deep their layers were, and how deep their connection was. Their physical and emotional connection was everything.
This book was more than I expected and I’m so, so glad I read it. Kandi Steiner out did herself with this one. I couldn’t put it down once I started.
Can we just talk about the popsicle scene, though?

daddy P was worth the wait

When I say I have waiting for Daddy P’s book forever, I mean it. Go back and look at my reviews for Watch Your Mouth and Meet Your Match. I said it then. I have been hot for our goalie Daddy since he stepped on page.
I knew I’d love his book and I did but what I didn’t expect was such a deep emotional journey with Will and Chloe. Oh my goodness was I going back and forth between smoking hot to near happy/sad tears. Both Will and Chloe’s relationships with Ava was nearly too much. Ava, Will’s daughter, will get you multiple times. She has such an amazing arch considering she’s only 5. We knew Will was an incredible father but we didn’t know just how much he was carrying. Chloe had so much to her character. She wasn’t what I expected after Maven and Grace. She has this incredible outlook and her heart is always in the right place. Will and Chloe have this incredibly complex, messy, crazy kind of relationship and I was here for it. I knew, I KNEW Daddy P would be the hottest one in bed so far. Dear Lord the mouth on this man. He was all the fantastic, dirty, sexy things we love. The spice was SPICING!
How the relationship develops and the depths that are reached are just amazing. You felt like you were right there with them and rooting so hard for them. I didn’t think she could top Watch Your Mouth but Learn Your Lesson just jumped to my second favorite Kandi book behind Hail Mary.

Damnit Kandi dropping hints AGAIN. Our angry Aleks and Mia Love? We are getting a Taylor and Travis second chance romance?! MA’AM! I will not know peace until then.
