Love in The Friend Zone.....great start to a new YA series for Molly E Lee. Fynn and Braylnn are best friends, they shared one moment that they swore they would never talk about again. Great story of friends to love, best friends-one of who don't realize till they almost lose what they are really feeling for the other. It's about the last hurrah of high school, finally getting with the It girl to realize what you were really feeling what in front of you all along. It's helping your best friend find his happy even though it is killing you inside he doesn't feel the same way. Love how strangers become friends and allies in this to help the one show the other what he is truly feeling. Love the commrediere between these friends new and old...and even frenemies. Grab this, you won't be disappointed.

This was a wonderful little read. It reminds me of all the rom-coms you watch growing up. There are the cliques, the problems and life being lived with blinders on, because nothing matters more in the world than uni and your crush. That time in your life when you feel like the smallest moments in life can make or break life and become the end of your world as you know it, and then the bigger picture comes about and everything seems to fall into place.

The author wrote us a brilliantly funny and cute read, that actually spans over a rather short time, but fits perfectly in how life seems to go when you are young. That moment is absolutely everything. The author definitely captured this sentiment and really ran with it. She then gave us that beautiful lesson that can only be learned by living through all these moments.

Overall, I think this is easily one of those books that all ages can enjoy and YA readers will definitely connect with, and find really fun. I think the author’s writing style is perfect for the age group the booked is aimed at, and really brings out the emotions of life.

**I received an arc a chose to provide my honest review.

Sweet, easy read

I don’t know why this is my first time reading a book by this author. I see her books on my timeline ALL the time. Now I know why.

This was a good, fun YA story with realistic high school characters. Flynn was oblivious and Braylen was frustrating, but it felt right for their age group and maturity level. I was a BIG fan of Randy, how lucky for Braylen to have stumbled, literally, into him early on. Katy was the typical “popular” character you expect to find in YA stories, even when she was being nice, she was shady.

I liked this story for exactly what it was. A light-hearted, fun friends to lovers story and I will absolutely be reading more from Molly E. Lee.

Cute Story

While I liked the main characters here, there was so much going on among the secondary characters it's hard to focus the main ones. Plus as interesting as this party clearly was I kind of want to see more than just one night with the characters.

It's a good story, a cute story, but I just kind of wanted more.

I was given a copy to read in exchange for an honest review....

This was the first book of Molly E. Lee's that I have ever read. I have heard great things about her books but just haven't had the chance to read them yet. With that being said, I felt like Love in the Friend Zone wasn't the greatest book to read first of her work.

Love in the Friend Zone follows our main characters, Braylen and Fynn, throughout one night. I feel like we were kind of thrown into their "relationship" so fast that we really didn't get a lot of back information on the characters and their current situation.

I wish there was more to the story and that we saw a little more development of each character before it came to an end. I thought the story line was cute, just needed a little more!

If you're looking for a very sweet friends to lovers (clean) YA then look no further. The writing, backstory, and storyline was good.

I received this an arc. I though it was cute. It's been a while since I've read a ya. But I found the story line cute and I was rooting for Bray. I really liked Randy! I wanted her to give him a chance after Fynn couldn't get his crap together. But everything ended well.

Eh... an easy read but literally nothing new, every typical trope of this genre.

One of my all time favorite types of romance to read is friends to lovers. There is just something about best friends falling for each other that gives you all the swoons and Molly captured this in the book perfectly. The slow burn between Braylen and Fynn was very well written.

I think that the portrayal of teenagers in this book was done very well also. I am in my early thirties now but still remember what it was like to be a teen and in high school and this book was very realistic in showing that age in the characters.

I was hooked to this book from the start and am really interested to see what is going to happen next. The main characters were enjoyable and I also liked the secondary ones as well.

DNF: I got through 30% and still didn’t give a crap about the two main characters or if they get together. No sense in wasting my time on this one.
