So beautiful and absorbing, being caught in the swim of the narrative, the perfect stretch of the day. I think I'd have to read this again and again the really get it - which is the sign of the best books.

this felt slow yet fast, depressing and human.

felt confused and disoriented at some parts but that’s kinda the point.

there’s a lot to say abt this but it’s 1am and i don’t want my brain to explode so i’ll just say that i really had a depressingly good time with this one

My first foray into Woolf and I do get the appeal as she clearly has a way with words and is so unique and evocative in many ways but this was a slog. I just struggled to follow the threads and therefore really get invested and had to abandon about three-quarters through.
