3.5 stars. I enjoyed this one, but the grammatical errors drove me insane. Incorrect or missing words, which took me out of the story many times and made it hard to continue the story at times.

not done yet but making a pit stop to write this. maybe my romance spell has dried up or perhaps literary romance has spoiled me, cause what is going on here?

so much rah rah rah, literal repetition of phrases, so much description of the same turquoise eyes, merger>marriage, wide hips, mouth and big boobs, motives and internal conflict. at the same time, i’m like slow downnnn, y’all can’t be this horny?! but with that i don’t mean just write slower scenes… nvm, i’m exhausted.

imma still finish tho, but i can see exactly how the conflict and trauma bonding mommy daddy issues + perfect savior tropes are gonna be used up.

also these characters might as well be white. thats how i keep picturing them anyway

Beauty and the Beast meet the bootstrap billionaire and the dutiful socialite daughter. Lucas Oliver is the bootstrap billionaire who is bent on revenge against Jason Blake. The weapon he chooses is Sydney Blake, Jason’s dutiful socialite daughter. Lucas is a hard ass determined to have his revenge no matter who he hurts along the way. He tricks and traps Sydney into being his wife despite the fact that she is engaged to another man. She isn’t in love with her now former fiancé but it is safer that way right? Emotions were never part of Lucas’s plan. He doesn’t trust women and he certainly doesn’t trust Sydney no matter how sweet and sexy she may appear. Will his quest for revenge cost him the one woman who can heal his soul? Beauty and the Bachelor is a well written and fast paced feel good romance. The type of book you put down with a smile on your face.

I don't know where to start with this honestly. I liked the book. It was ok. I had some issues with it though. Lucas blackmails Sydney to marry him. Legit blackmails. She marries him and then shortly into the marriage falls madly in love with him.....how? How in the world could you fall in love with a man who blackmailed you to marry him and hated your father. I just couldnt buy that. Honestly that alone almost had me mark this as 2 stars. Also for my personal taste it felt like most of the love was actually lust. I mean there were a BUNCH of sex scenes. However I did enjoy the writing and the characters. Hence the 3 stars instead of 2. I will probably give book 2 a try and see if I continue with the series.

A story of revenge and unexpected connection. Both of the main characters are fine. The story was good. It is not one I’ll remember but it is a good story.

This one was just an *okay* read for me. I didn't mind the hero being an alphahole given the blurb, but really disliked how weak the heroine came across. For me, the redeeming thing about this book was that the heroine's father eventually came around and tried to reconcile the relationship with his daughter.

The story alone has a lot of potential. It could be dark, mafia romance story. I was expecting so much angst from the story alone. A revenge romance story. After finish listen to the audio book, ot fell short.

The potential is still there but it does not execute properly. The character develop well at the beginning then it lost its focus. It becomes confusing. The chemistry is stiff and cold toward the end.

I want more. More than just this short story. More of everything in dark mafia romance.
I still think this book is OK read.

I nearly fell asleep reading this book... it's just so BORING. The plot was promising and seemed interesting. But I guess the writer just gave up halfway. So, I decided it wasn’t worth wasting my time any more than I already did, moving on to my next TBR.
