I am loving this quirky, fun, interesting and inventive series.

This is definitely my favourite of the series so far. We're now starting to learn more about TDO and his/her reach, as well as getting other, non-central reoccurring plots being brought into the story. Looking forward to the next one.

These books are so cute, and this one was no exception.

I like when Jill will use magic on the humans, especially when she tries to hide it from her sister. Her sister seems to think something is up, but then she always gets the ‘forget’ spell and is thoroughly confused.

My favorite character is easily Jill. Her humor and sarcasm make me laugh out loud!

The formatting of this series is really my only complaint. The humor is absurd but knowingly so.

Though to me, Winky makes this series what it is. I adore him — who wouldn’t love a talking one-eyed cat who uses semaphore to communicate with his lady love and who has a snarky kick-ass sense of humor?

But honestly, Abbott’s sense of the absurd is what drives this series. Grandma is the best, the twins are annoying but funny with their blonde moments, Kathy is such a good older sister, and Jill is a snarky, sarcastic, mischievous heroine that makes me smile.

What happens?
Jill is a witchy PI. She follows two cases in this book one for the paranormal or supes and one for a human. The human case is certainly more interesting of a man being murdered and no one knowing how he was murdered in the lift. The supe case was of cakes arriving at shops smashed up. Amongst this Jill is dealing with a lawyer(I think he was a lawyer) trying to take over her office space. Basically hes a general jerk who thinks he owns the world and Jill doesn't bow down to it.
Final thoughts
I like this book, as usual I couldn't put it down and I was enthralled in it as I started. Its hard to pace myself with these books. So many things happen there are so many little details you can over look. I also have to say although these mysteries aren't groundbreaking I don't always guess them mainly because I enjoy this so much I don't want to spoil it but sometimes they are good mysteries.

Another great book in the series with Jill having to deal with many different problems. With a new detective stopping her from going anywhere near the detective she likes. With a murder to investigate and the witch competition to sort she has her hands full. I found this a light hearted read with lots of funny moments in it. With Winky communicating by a helicopter and her grandma, its a funny good read. xxx

This was another good one in this series. Jill has her hands full with several cases, and it appears she is only get paid for one of them. To top it off her dating life seems to be going downhill, but both of her animals seem to have dates, and she is alone. To top it off she has to deal with her scary grandmother, some other witches who don't want her around, and a few other things as well.

This book was really good. I enjoyed Jill and her humor in this one. Even though I can't stand her sister, I still enjoyed the book. I just wish her sister wasn't in it as much, or at all.

I can't wait to read more now.
