This was quite slow, and I found Eddie’s obtuseness nearly unforgivable. Rose plainly explained her engagement to Albert so early in the book, and Eddie just…was NOT following. That set the rest of the book up to be quite obvious. Lex Croucher writes gorgeous banter, though, so while unbelievable, there were parts that were making me L O L.

This book was so much fun! Infamous is billed as Bridgerton meets Booksmart, and it certainly delivers on both sides. The characters are nuanced and complex, developing in a believable way.
It's just such a great sapphic romance with two amazing characters in Rose and Eddie. Overall entertaining, well structured and romantic.

DNFed at 32%. I honestly just did not connect with this book at all. I already predicted how this was going to go - I even checked to see if there was going to be an unexpected twist, but no. The actual love interest didn’t get enough screen time and felt flat; and the poet was just so unbearable I didn’t want to spend more time with him.

This is a cute, funny queer romance set in Regency era. It hooked me straight away and I was invested in the story for most of it - there are some really unique characters, and I loved the familial relationships when we got to see them - but by the end, I felt like it was dragging. I wasn't connected anymore, and I'm not quite sure why that was. Overall, I'd recommend this... but it wouldn't be in my top five recommendations or anything.
