J.D. Robb

4.05 AVERAGE

I gave up a couple hours of sleep I desperately needed to finish this. The victim is an accountant, and the plot hinged on auditing and financial management! BEST BOOK EVER.

And as your resident accounting expert, I will tell you that Robb had a high degree of accuracy when it came to the money talk. In fact, it highlighted some of the absurd stuff in prior books (Roarke could not run his empire as described. Just, no.) but that's just fine with me.

♥ ♥ ♥ ♥ ♥ ♥ ♥ Read this and come talk to me about it!

Yet another winner in the In Death series. Loved all the time spent with Eve and Roarke. Glad we had more time with the rest of the gang as well.

Totally solid.

i will give rating 2.8 of 5 stars! hmm.. it is really standard crime story.. i can't feel my excitement when reading this one..

in the end i can say the story is about an accountant, Marta who is being murdered by someone who doesn't want she found the fraud when she auditing financial's company condition. that's all

Maybe I am growing old and grumpy, but this installment of the In Death series mostly made me fervently wish for a progressive taxation system of the kind that would prevent Roarkes from existing (and, hopefully, obviate the need for superrich "civilian consultants" to save the day by assisting the cash-strapped police). Harrumph.

OTP. I LOVE YOU.
