This was fine! Maybe 3.5 stars from me on a more generous day.
It was pretty simple and sweet, even for an omegaverse. We get only the slightest of trauma sprinkled in, and every conflict is resolved within a couple pages. The whole scope of the story takes place in under a week, basically. The MMCs are...fine, the main alpha of the pack is honestly just not a particularly likeable character even after the big twist.
Speaking of twists, there were two, and you could see both coming from a mile away. There was NOTHING suspenseful about this book, not even the beginning of the relationship which was basically instalove. There is constant teasing around the omega being dominant in the spicy scenes but we never get to really see that, not compared to some of the other dom-FMC omegaverse books I've read.
However, it's a first from this author for me and honestly it was such a quick and relatively enjoyable read that I might get sucked into the next couple of books!

Good omegaverse beta story! I like when omegaverse authors change it up with beta lead stores!
Rebel is a resilient Omega who has a protective Alpha brother and a best friend beta. Together they start a resistance to end the mistreatment of Omegas. Along the way, she gets a lot more involved in taking down their opposition and is put in a bad position in the enemy camp when her heat hits suddenly. Not everything is as it seems about her so-called opposition, and as she falls for the enemy, she realizes who the real threat is. Lots of sweet moments found in these pages, and all the characters are loveable, eventually.
I really need to fan myself after that one. Wow! That is one hot as hell story. I do enjoy omegaverse books but this one is different in so many wonderful ways. Alphas are known for being the ones in control. But this omega doesn’t like to follow the rules. She will do everything in her power and beyond to help other omegas from a world that treats them as property. The twists in this story blew me away in so many ways. Just when you think you have things figured out an omega, alpha or beta will change things up. Can’t wait to see what the next book will bring.
I feel like if I had gotten to see the whole knight pack I would have liked them but out main character and her brother and best friend are so preachy that it got annoying. The ball invitation scene was it for me. I couldn’t get over how much they were acting like they’re going to do this huge sacrifice to go to the ball and also all these assumptions. It honestly reminds me how annoyed I get with our current US political climate where each side automatically assumes they know we’ve trying about a person who might view something differently than them. Bummed, because I was hoping to like this, especially after meeting Beta Scott.
Ugh these characters were just kinda bland. And I’m not a fan of Falcon as someone’s first name so that was just off for me. I think the author also staged scenes horribly where I was confused about where people were and who was interacting with whom.

This series is amazing! I love the rebel and reject components. Leo & Rebel forever.
Pretty predictable; great spice potential so it was extra disappointing when it faded to black.
