I read 'Galatea' right after 'The Song of Achilles'. As the latter, 'Galatea' is an easily digestible piece of prose. It's entertaining, it's short, it takes the best of the myth it's based on, and it adds a modern perspective to it.

I liked this short story a lot. It made me root for the main character so quickly and so strongly. If you're a fan of Miller, definitely pick this one up.

Molto breve, però d'effetto; non da strapparsi i capelli, ma bello da avere.
Illustrazioni stupende, forse però per il contenuto il prezzo di copertina è un pelo alto.

Miller's writing is gorgeous as always. I was intrigued by the dark horror elements in this short story, and Galatea as a POV character is so different from the more naive perspectives of Patroclus and Circe. It's a welcome change for such a twisted story.
