I don't know, I feel like this could be better... I keep reading hoping it gets better but it just seems to wander aimlessly. The concept is very interesting, and the world building is ok... but the character development seems forced and clunky.
I'll read the last book in the series, mostly because I can't leave anything unfinished... So, hopefully the author proves me wrong and makes it all come together in the end with a huge payoff.
