Romesh certainly has a way with words in this very honest, very funny opinion on life lessons. Subjects such as sex, holidays, other peoples children and being careful with hot sauce

I was about to read a heavy novel the day before we teachers were due to return to busy classrooms after lockdown. I decided life was heavy enough so picked up something more light-hearted. I really enjoy Romesh’s writing style - comedy essays that work as essays as much as they work as comedy. Many are genuinely thought-provoking.

Much like he is on TV, Romesh (see? I've never met him and I'm referring to him by his first name) comes across here as warm, humble, thoughtful, and self-deprecating. I read it in 24 hours, and you probably will too.

There were definitely some elements of this book that I enjoyed, I like Romesh and found the tone of the book quite intimate. As expected it was funny but there were very serious topics and events covered too as balance.
