Thank you to M. Colette and Luna Literary Management for the ARC!

The book was a small town second chance romance. Unfortunately a lot of characters seemed to blend together for me and didn’t feel very fleshed out so I didn’t connect to the main friend group. Overall it was a quick and cute read.

I loved this returning home story! Ellie and Rowan were so cute and I loved their friendship. The entire friend group in this one was great. This is a true friends to lovers AND second chance done well! It has baking lessons and spicy discovery scenes…And the jealous bar scene had me kicking my feet.

I love a good second-chance romance book. And this is one of the good ones! This book while I would say that it is a cute fluffy romance book that makes you want to giggle at times, it did touch on what it looks like to burn out. Both of the MCs helped each other grow in different areas and become better versions of themselves by the end. Knowing that this is romance genre book, a HEA is expected but I loved the journey that the author took us on to get to that HEA. I don’t want to say to much and ruin major details. So I will just add that if you like second-chance romance books, give this a try.

Ellie and Rowan were high school sweethearts in a small coastal town until she left to pursue her dream and attended culinary school in New York. Ten years later, Ellie has come home for a summer and has to reevaluate her life and decide what's next for her. Rowan has never stopped loving her and just hopes he's a part of what's next.

If you like a good slow burn small town romance, this one is definitely for you. I  thought this was written so well and highlighted the struggles Ellie faced trying to balance what she wants vs what she’s worked so hard for and juggling with the realization that they may not be the same anymore.

Rowan was emotionally mature, so he was definitely a man written by a woman, raised by the amazing women in his life. With his own struggles, he always put Ellie first and had to work through his hesitation to actually say what he feels, not what people want him to feel.

Such a sweet story and I’m looking forward to the next Dove Point novel. Just sad it’s not until next year!

4.5 ⭐️ A very cute, realistic, second-chance romance, with self-discovery and dealing with past trauma. The story was well laid out, and the romance was beautiful. Spice scenes were thoughtful and not rushed - 🌶️🌶️🌶️. I loved how the characters faced their fears in a healthy, believable way, and how the friendships surrounding them included a variety of characters. I felt like I could have been friends with this group! I could totally see a series including the characters… hmm 🤔.

In Whisked Away by M. Colette, high-end pastry chef, Ellie Thompson, returns to her coastal hometown of Dove Point to mend her broken heart and find clarity between the bustling city life of New York and the peaceful small town she left behind. There, she reconnects with Rowan Williams, her childhood best friend (and owner of a local brewery), who's been quietly carrying a torch for her all these years. As old feelings bubble back up, Ellie and Rowan have to decide if they're ready to take a second chance on something that could be worth everything.

This book was so sweet. If you love a good friends-to-lovers story, give this one a read! Ellie and Rowan dated during and right after high school, but after Ellie took a great opportunity on the other side of the country, distance eventually got the best of them. I loved that Rowan supported Ellie no matter what, and didn't want to come between her going after her personal dreams. And Ellie was the same toward Rowan. It was fun to get to see them work through that and finally get the courage to try to make it work again after almost 10 years apart.

The friend group in this book had a really fun dynamic. Their dialogue and banter was amusing, and felt like a real group of friends. Overall, I enjoyed all aspects of this book. It was a very low-stress, feel-good read.

Some Favorite Quotes:
"When I didn't see any stars, I'd just look at the moon, wondering if you were looking at it too. And if we were looking at it together." (Ellie to Rowan)

"I will love you on the days you can't love yourself. I will believe in you when you feel hopeless. I will pick you up and never let you fall. Don't let anything try to dim the light that you shine into people's lives..." (Rowan to Ellie)

Thank you to Luna Literary and M. Colette for the eARC!

Whisked away is about Ellie & Rowan, high school sweethearts, getting their second chance at love!

This was a really sweet story with tons of feel good vibes! I adored all the love & support happening from all characters in the book.

However, there was almost TOO much love. Ellie & Rowan got back together WAY quick and were immediately back in love with no drama whatsoever. Rowan forgave his dad instantly after saying sorry. The story line was great but we needed some more depth into the characters.

Overall, a cozy read with a few sexy scenes thrown in! I have a feeling there will be multiple stories to come the way the other characters and their romances were set up & I’ll be interested to see how those pan out.
