I love this manga. As an ex-musical theatre student I could feel our main character's pain and I also really appreciated the aspect of her having someone she looked up to and idolised and also how that person was shown not to be perfect.
This was just adorable and inspiring and I love the message this sends. It doesn't matter if you're not the best, if you're not progressing as fast as those in class with you. What matters is you are working as hard as you can, that you're passionate and things will work out for you

I absolutely loved this! The story of Kanade is inspirational and I hope many people will learn from her: to be kind and hardworking. The artwork also supports the story, being soft and really enjoyable to look at - perfectly fitting the story of ballet. I'm really eager to find out what happens next.

This was a fun, cute manga about ballet. I liked Kanade, and the art portrayed ballet really beautifully and powerfully. Kanade's cheerfulness and passion spilled through the pages and made me want to dance even though I'm bad at it! 4.5 stars.

A fun if not slow start to a dancing series. I have a soft spot in my heart for dancing manga and this helped fill the void.
It's cozy, warm and has some lovely art,but just felt a bit lacking in the character field

Wow! This was a surprise! I really liked it. Young girl watches neighbor in ballet perform, is dazed, and declares that she will be a ballerina too. Only once she starts, she discovers that it's a lot of hard work, and not a whole lot of fun. Kanada isn't naturally gifted, but she is determined, so she is constantly striving to improve. This has all of the aspects of a series that I enjoy most: a will to succeed against the odds, a determined protagonist who never quits, and a whole lot of heart.

Although I like graphic novels and comics, I rarely read mangas. But, I’m glad I chose this one. La Magnifique Grande Scene is a nice manga about ballet student Kanade. It shows that ballet is not just a lovely dance but very hard work for dancers. I enjoyed reading this story with many details and words from the world of ballet. 3.5 rounded to 4.

Thanks to the Akita Publishing for the ARC and the opportunity to read this! All opinions are my own.
