I enjoyed this book better than the first because it seemed to have more action. Now, I was NOT expecting the ending and wanted to punch someone for acting as they did. Not giving gender to keep from spoilers. I’m eager to find out what happens next!

This is such a charming series. It's clever and funny, and it's unique setting is quite interesting. This particular book gets gayer than the first. Twice as gay! In the first one you have a foppish gay vampire and his queer drones. This one introduces a lesbian inventor who hits on the main character, which stirs up... feelings in her that she never thought about before. I hope that it gets even more queer next book. Only negative is that I didn't like the ending. No, sir. It's not that it's a bad ending. (Okay. Kinda bad) It's just that it shakes up the status quo and I liked the status quo. Anyway, I highly recommend checking this series out. You can get all five books on kindle for only $18, and I decided to get it because it's cheaper that way then buying the last three books individually. Well worth the money. 5 stars.

Cutesy in a Jane Austen sort of way. Decent steampunk. Though most of the gadgets are her parasol, a dirigible and wireless communication devices.

another engrossing caper. fun characters, fun intrigue.

Honestly, "Changeless" just didn't capture me like "Souless" did. I still love Alexia with a passion - I'd like to think that I'd be very much like her if, you know, this was real Victorian England - but something was just ... off. I think part of it was because the relationship between her and Conall wasn't really explored as much in this novel. I mean, sure, yes, they are now married, but that doesn't mean that they aren't still getting to know each other. But he's just kind of absent throughout most of the novel.

I am definitely going to read the next book in the series, but I'm hoping that it won't seem as drawn out as this one.

SPOILERS INCLUDED!!!
Really 3.5 stars!
It was a 3 star book up until the end which shocked me and made me want to read the third book in the series! Spoiler: I realized Alexia must be pregnant but I must have missed the werewolves can't procreate part because I was not expecting the explosive ending to this book. So, the story progresses in a rather interesting manner then seems to become bogged down in language through the middle but, for me, the ending redeemed the book.

Not as delightful as her first installment in the series, but a fun, easy read nevertheless.

The entire time I was reading the book I kept thinking it seemed like an Agatha Christie knockoff with a steampunk theme. The author could have gone so far with the characters she has created. I read paranormal books like crazy and some ideas are definitely original in this series however it falls flat from ever really exploring them further. Reads like a simple who done it book. Enjoyable but not my type. The end blew.
