Oooo sooo good. Wowza. Felt like I was just reading a Ted talk. Truly everyone should read I think. Just an important text.

my toxic trait is reading the reviews to this, clicking on the profiles that rate it 1 star and seeing its a white person lol

people that are are offended - even just by the title - by this book must not understand the whole basis is to raise awareness about the blind offensiveness that occurs every day to black people SORRY you’ve suddenly become a minority !!! what a shame !!?

anyways - a great * and small* almost introduction to racism and great stats to go with it keeping it forever to refer to

future self: dont read the reviews n get annoyed

I’m gifting this book to all my white friends. Starting with the ones who crack racist jokes because “it’s just a joke”.

I loved how concise this book was in it's language. All the points were very well explained with case studies. I loved reading a book about racism from a British POV. A point Eddo-Lodge made was that most histories on racism is dominated by the American perspective, and while it is relevant, it brushes over Britain's horrible past with racism. 10/10 book.
