so we learn in the anime and manga that Chuuya’s ability is unlike any other, but why is that? how did he come to be in posession of the power of a god? Storm Bringer explores this question, along with others (like what was his initial role within the Port Mafia and why does he wear that hat all the time) with a cast of quirky characters and a plot just as confusing and intricate as any other BSD arc.

This was fascinating. As a fan of the series, I was excited to read this book, and this exactly lived up to all of my expectations and more. Oh, my lord, this was beautiful. A little gay though, not going to lie. But its bungo, so, y'know, what can you do? And I gotta be honest, that a heartbreaking ending (In a very good way, not a bad way) made me feel a little bit of jelly in my insides. I love, love, love, LOVED the heavy focus on Chuuya this book had. And I was so caught off guard with what happened to Verlaine in the end, like oml, that was... That was interesting. But anyway 9.5/10, would recommend, would read again, fulfilled my escapist fantasies, I pray to God that they animate this into a movie. Also, low key funny, it kinda hurt me how many times somebody joked about Chuuya's height.
