I lovedddd this book. It was so sweet- it made me tear up from loveliness a few times. A home of flowers and books is everything I want. Recommend to everyone. It’s my favorite of the three Carley Fortune books I have read so far.

I love a good summer romance, but this is on a different level. Carley Fortune says in her acknowledgements that writing this book was fun for her and that really shows through. I had fun reading this. Every time I had to put it down, I couldn't wait to pick it back and continue. Definitely my favorite Fortune book so far!
4.5 loved it so much. Really enjoyed the different timelines. Felix and Lucy were just
I’ve read Carley Fortune books before, but this one is easily my favorite one that she’s released. Her writing has grown so much since her first release. The writing style of this book really reminds me of Emily Henry which I loved. Also, this book contains found family which is one of my favorite tropes!
Lucy goes to Prince Edward Island each summer to visit her best friend Bridget and Bridget’s family. The first time she visits she finds herself in the arms of a charming bartender… who turns out to be Bridget’s brother. From then on, they swear that they won’t act on their attraction. But the more they interact the harder it seems to be. When Bridget goes to PEI to escape her problems a week before her wedding, Lucy and Felix follow behind. Their intentions are to support Bridget, but they find themselves supporting each other as well.
This Summer Will Be Different was a very easy read and perfect for the summer. I really loved the way that Lucy and Felix’s interactions were depicted. The tension was HIGH and their scenes together were great. While the story was about Lucy and Felix, I did like that it also centered around Lucy’s friendship with Bridget. The friendship plotline is what really drew me in. There are certain areas that could have been better flushed out. The ending seemed a little rushed. Also, it may have been beneficial to do alternative POVs rather than just Lucys.
