I wanted to like this book so badly. It's set in Canada, by a Canadian author and references Anne of Green Gables!
I didn't buy the "love" between Lucy and Felix. It was instalust and everything revolved around them being horny and trying (and failing) not to fuck. They had no chemistry because neither of them had personalities.
The relationship between Lucy and Bridget was the only thing that kept me going until the end. I needed to find out why Bridget suddenly ran off to PEI and insisted Lucy drop her whole life to come along and refused to tell her why (I'm not even going to get into how selfish that is).
This book wasn't a good fit for me. I hyped it up in my own mind and got let down in the process.

A really special read! I was immersed in the setting (pretending Maine was PEI) and the chemistry between Lucy and Felix was so strong.
I’ll be honest Bridget annoyed me for much of the book with her refusal to say what was going on. But it all made sense in the end and I love how their friendship was an equally important love story.
The pacing slowed down unexpectedly toward the end but that made it possible to savor the resolution rather than quickly jumping through it.

another good one - i really liked felix and love a good drawn out tension book but now that i'm reading all of hers it’s getting repetitive i probably should have spaced them out. i also liked the mysterious call from her friend but maybe this hit a little too close to home without resolve for me personally.
