This book definitely gives all the summer vibes - so if vibing on the seasons is your jam, this will be a winner! It took me a little bit to get into it, but I really enjoyed the last half and it made me smile. Not the most unique plot, but the imagery of the environment they’re in (Prince Edward Island) painted a gorgeous space in my mind and really whisked me away.

The romance in this book is sweet, slow building and easy to lean into, but the side plots I found tiring and frustrating instead of compelling. The way Bridget handled herself really irritated me, how she acted more like a 19 or 20 year old as opposed to someone that is almost 30. A fun beach read nevertheless and i will definitely be picking up another Carley Fortune book soon

hey so why did this make me cry? this book was TOO CUTE!! I absolutely loved how the story was not only about romance, but also about friendship, life changes, and growing up/growing apart. I love d these characters and their love for each other!! Bridget and Lucy have such a beautiful friendship and the girlhood in this book was so heartwarming.
but Felix?! omg the way he loves Lucy and ADORES her is actually everything to me. THAT MAN WAS SMITTEN!!! and the way he spoke to/about her? literally had me melting into the pages of this book!!
I am becoming a huge fan of Carly Fortune’s books and her writing style! the way she drawls you into the story with both last and present timelines has me hooked from page one! and the story flows so well that I find myself losing track of time and wanting to read more. I can’t wait to read her next book!
