I wish it had more of Felix + Lucy and less of Bridget + Lucy. Although their friendship was important to the story. I just wish I could see more of why Lucy + Felix fell in love with each more each passing summer. But overall I did enjoy the book.
I loved that Felix underlined this quote from Great Expectations to describe his feelings for Lucy: "I loved her against reason, against promise, against peace, against hope, against happiness, against all discouragement that could be."
Loved this quote on friendship: Our friendship is how I learned to compromise. It's how I learned that the families we make are as significant as the ones we're born into. It's how I learned that the greatest loves are not always romances.

I thought this was a great beach read! I don’t know why I avoided her books for so long (still haven’t read the first one because i saw some reviews that weren’t stoked). However, I might give it a chance. I will definitely read her newest book!
This one gave me adult version of TSITP x Happy Place x Just For The Summer vibes. I wanted to keep reading. At first, I was really iffy about Felix & Lucy because there wasn’t a lot of depth. The depth was there eventually and I liked it!

Also the speech she gave at that one part … it made me think about Rainey (hi rainey 💛). And also, I really loved the beach house, the flowers, the beachy island vibes, and the romance. Smut was a little exaggerated/not needed in some parts but whatever it was a fun read haha
