thoughts i had while reading this book:

  • i fucking hate fade to black scenes especially when the entire book is about them hooking up even when they know they shouldn’t be just because they find one another that irresistible
  • bridget and her refusal to give anyone even a hint as to why she’s upset is really annoying
  • a bit unbelievable and weird that felix and lucy are so close and yet never talk to each other during the significantly long stretches of time apart
  • dude this flip flopping on lucy’s end is pissing. me. off. thank god zach is there to help protect my poor sweet felix. his chilly greeting earlier on in the story makes totallll sense now
  • oh my god felix’s confession in the rain is making me hate lucy even more. because exactly. lucy left because she suspected felix had feelings for her and it hurt him. and yet lucy’s not admitting to that now and is acting like she had no fucking clue like please lucy you were physically pulling the wool over your own fucking eyes don’t piss me off
  • his favorite color is lucy pink - he liked how joy played hockey 😭😭 this man loves women the right way
  • almost thought we escaped a 3rd act breakup
  • lucy never makes him breakfast ? only herself
  • i appreciate that lucy is trying to set boundaries for herself with her mom but i feel like she’s just coming off as mean
  • overall i guess lucy is less insufferable at the end but idk … lucy is in a word: oblivious (and not in a cute way, but oblivious because she spends 90% of the time thinking about herself and how to make almost every situation about herself)
  • feeling more than a little icked out by bridget’s speech in the epilogue where she describes how shallow she suspected lucy would be due to her being pretty and wearing makeup. it’s giving she’s not like other girls but even worse cuz it’s coming from a girl.

only people i consistently liked throughout this book: felix (him and the highly effective imagery of PEI are really the only major reasons why i enjoyed  this book), farah, and zach

feeling conflicted on how to rate this cuz the writing was pretty immersive, it made me really wanna visit PEI, and felix 🥰🥰🥰🥰 but in the other hand i disliked lucy a lot

Very cute, easy read romance. Good summer/beach read.

I didn’t think I would like this book as much as I did. I loved it, definitely will be re reading this one for sure.
