Since I was a child, I have been in aww of the Catholic Church and its traditions. I read this book after seeing a preview for the film that is coming out next month.

I was blown away by this book! It is filled with twists and turns with a surprise ending. Robert Harris is an author who's works I will be looking into in the future.

reading it after watching the movie felt like getting a more intimate perspective of lomeli's mind. a bit disappointed on the ending tho, benitez' speech didn't feel as grand as the author would like us to believe so it felt off that most cardinals voted for him instead of sticking w lomeli in the end.
