WOWIE... highly recommend reading even after seeing the movie. The suspense in each ballot is impeccable! I had to cover the results to avoid spoiling myself... anyways. I can't believe that I could love the cardinals even more... Lomeli the man you are... Thank you conclave

I saw the movie and really enjoyed it so of course I had to read the book! I really enjoyed that, too. You get a lot more insight into Cardinal Lomeli (changed to "Lawrence" in the movie) and his inner machinations. Someone canonize that man as the patron saint of "What have I done to deserve this?"! 😆
Somehow book!Tedesco is even more of a prick than movie!Tedesco and that is quite the accomplishment.
I feel like we get a little more Benitez in the book. That was delightful. He's such a sweetie. 🥰 One odd thing was that he's called "Héctor" a few times in the audiobook and I find it baffling that they missed those goofs. I thought some other guy had entered the scene and I had just missed it.
Anyway, this is going on my "book recs" list. If you liked the whole Vatican element of Angels & Demons but would have liked less murder, you will probably like Conclave! 😁
