I loved the first two books just to feel like this one was an unfulfilling ending to Lore and Fallon's story. This book was very long and hard to get through for me, it felt like it was dragging for majority of the story. I enjoyed Lore and Fallon's moments and this book wrapped up any loose plotlines, but as much as Shabbe was talked about, when they finally made it there it just felt lackluster since nothing much happened other than them visiting the Cauldron and suddenly the story ends. I wish we got to see more of Fallon enjoying becoming a crow and interacting with her kingdom after the war as well. I feel like so much of this book was constant fighting and war that when the resolution came it just fell flat.

However, the things I did enjoy was getting to see Fallon grow more into herself and become fiercer with every battle she fights. I loved how she embraced her new abilities and reconnected to her origins. Also, the moments that Lore and Fallon did have together? Wow was that shadow scene WILD!! I absolutely love Lore's love for Fallon even when he is not in his full form. *Wink wink* Although the ending broke my heart for her, though left on a cliffhanger, it is a very cruel trick by the Cauldron to put Fallon and Cathal through a different heartache and pain. Overall, I have immense love for all the characters, I just wish the ending gave them more of a celebration, more interactions with each other, and more character building with all the secondary characters.

A perfect ending to the series. I laughed, I wept, and I sailed through it. This final book was good enough that I would happily recommend the series in spite of the very slow first 70% of book 1.

Well that was quite the epic adventure! I can’t believe I hadn’t heard of this series until last week. It really should be on more people’s radar! I couldn’t get enough of this story! The world, the magic, the characters…….SO GOOD. I’m sad it’s over, but I’ll definitely be picking up the spin off next year so I can revisit this world. I’ll also be reading this author’s other books because I’m definitely a FAN!

I was disappointed by the way Fallon was written towards the end. I think I wanted her to finish Dante off alone, and not with heavy support from Jutus.

The plot is more medium to fast, and it's a satisfying ending while also leaving the door wide open for additional books. HoSO does a nice job of tying up loose ends for Fallon and Lore as well as a lot of the side characters, while also leaving the door wide open for additional books in the future. Book 4 will focus on other characters, so if you're someone who waits to binge read a series until it's complete, you're safe to start this one.
