Y’all. Y’ALL. This book was so hot it burned me. I am scorched, dehydrated, possibly suffering heat stroke because hot. damn.
I loved Rafe and Xeni so I was super excited to see Meegan announced! Weatherspoon’s contemporaries are so fun (I have so much of her backlist to read!) and full of real people being loved really, really well.
Meegan is no exception. Olin and Meegan are so sweet together and the communication in their relationship is heavy handed (in a good way! Also I think this could be a sexy pun?). Meegan has learned to communicate her needs clearly after years of being deep in a kink community and Olin is a blunt and straightforward communicator due to understanding his own needs as a person with autism. I loved reading Olin ask for clarification. I loved the earnest way he considered the things Meegan asked for and whether or not they fit into his own boundaries. I loved the way Meegan held space for Olin’s boundaries especially when they differed from her own. I also adored the way they validated and supported each other. It was just so open and respectful and sweet.
Speaking of hot. Out of the Loose Ends series (Rafe and Xeni), this book is significantly more kink heavy. And by more kink, I mean it is chapter after chapter of two sweet and loving people being kinky as hell! Weatherspoon does not hold back and I found myself learning quite a bit alongside Olin.
Overall this was cozy, sweet, low drama (no third act break-up, Weatherspoon does not mess around), and incredibly hot.
If you enjoyed Rafe and Xeni and her other series like Beards and Bondage or the Fit series, then I think you’ll love this!
