i am sorry but this was so utterly ridiculous

3.75 ⭐️. This is the first Riley Sager novel I’ve read and I expected to really love the ending but unfortunately I didn’t. Big twist, but I feel like the more things kept getting piled on top, the more over it I was. I did really enjoy the lead up to it though. I will be reading more by this author as I enjoyed the writing style, just disappointed this one didn’t meet my expectations based off the hype I’ve heard surrounding it.

overall I really liked the premises. The last 100 or so pages were a bit outlandish for me. It just became too hard to follow and a bit unbelievable. 3.5 (4) rounded up

WHEN I TELL YOU MY JAW DROPPED, YES, MY JAW DROPPED LIKE AHHHHHH WTF!!! I've been deprived for so long of thriller masterpieces, and Riley Sager said, "Okay, I gotchu!" 5/5, not one plot twist was guessed. I love it so much!!

I liked this book a lot. I am usually very good at seeing the end of the story and figuring out who done it. Not this time. This story kept me guessing the entire time! I kept thinking I figured it out to be proven wrong.

You should read it.

Could've been 5/5 but those extra chapters after the climax felt like a drag.

This is another reminder to myself to not do thrillers as audiobooks! This story had so many twists that it made me want to go back and re read sections but of course its hard with an audiobook.

I really enjoyed this book,  it kept me hooked until the end. The pace of the twists in the story that were dropped was just right. When you think the story is going one way,  you're so sure you know what happened and then things flip! It kept me reading (listening) to the end to find out what really happened to the Hope family and how these characters were all connected
