This book had my jaw on the floor more than once!

I found the plot to be a little upsetting and depressing but all the characters got a closure and that made the book worth it.

In 1929 a family is murdered and one daughter survived. Many believed she did it and still resides in the house everyone died as a heavily disabled woman. Only looked after by her old servants that still have strong ties to her. It takes a care giver to finally reveal the truth to expose what really happened that faithful night. It was fine until they started revealing things and it felt like “was that really it”. I feel like the 4th murder was thrown in there and the main character was insufferable. A lot of information was thrown in without a connecting thread to make the story more robust than I actually is. Also when it comes to books like this it’s annoying when the book is written instead of implied “I’ll tell you later” over and cover again.
