Pros: I like that this series is apparently focused on women business owners. The suspense plotline was competently written, despite problematic aspects.

Cons: Squeaky-clean, generally unremarkable romance. Aggressively gendered, even for a romance novel. Aforementioned problematic aspects to the suspense plotline. Uneven pacing.

This will undoubtedly be what some romance readers are looking for, but it's really not my thing.

Sweet Confections lived up to it’s title as the story was sugary enough to give anyone a cavity. Rachel and Graydon were goody two shoes who had some cliché story book moments and unfortunately, came off as one dimensional for most of the story. The secondary characters were great companions and flushed out wonderfully to add more dimension to the story and I often found myself more interested in them.
Sweet Confections will work for individuals looking for a squeaky clean romance with mild suspense and action.
