This book was unnecessarily long and I was entirely bored from start to end. “[In Sayers’ stories] the crime is always committed in a way that is incredibly tortuous and quite uninteresting” is a review from George Orwell and he’s so fucking right.
And of course the criminal was the misogynistic pick me. 500+ pages of boredom just for them to solve what I called from like page 100.
Moderate: Classism, Injury/Injury detail, Sexism, Ableism, Antisemitism, Misogyny, Suicide, and Violence
Minor: Racial slurs and Genocide

Great themes. Poor execution. Should have been 200 pages shorter. The one positive note was the narrator of the audiobook. Ian Carmichael was the only reason why I was able to finish.
P.S. - Every single one and one and two-star review in GR has perfectly articulated how I feel about this novel.

Graphic: Classism and Sexism
Moderate: Bullying, Suicide, and Suicide attempt
Minor: Car accident
The intellectual and academic elitism are over-the-top.
