wow does tahereh mafi know how to write a man. i mean im saying this as a lesbian which makes it even more impressive i think cause wow i love cyrus. i got so impatient reading kamran’s chapters cause i just wanted to read more of alizeh and cyrus. their interactions are so 😭😭 i actually can’t, the dialogue is unbelievable i enjoyed it so much. the plot is very much dragged out in this but honestly the dialogue makes up for it

Wow I loved every single thing about this book. No eloquent words from me, you just need to read it. I literally could not put this down!
I LOVED this and I’m excited for the next one. I’m pretty confused by the “nothing happened in this book” reviews plastered all over Goodreads. No, there wasn’t any big fights, but there was what I believe very necessary character building AND world building. New revelations, freaking top-tier tearing, banter, a freaking simurgh, and an introduction to a whole new land. This is truly a middle book as there was no definite conclusion to anything and way more questions, but I loved it!

The love confession was so good I almost cried. It was giving “but I’m leaving for India” The characters are so interesting and complex. Jumped back and forth a little too much. Minus one point cause I spent a whole day trying not to have a meltdown in chapter 3 when I realized my side of the love triangle was doomed. The other side grew on me
