I don't know how I keep doing this but I 100% read this and thought it was the first book in the series...

Overall it was great. The storyline was easy to follow and it went in to detail in areas to keep the story moving along. I didn't feel like any parts dragged on. The ending made me excited to read the next book, although I probably won't go back to read the first one.

Holy cow! When I look back at my review for This Woven Kingdom, I had written about how amazing the world building is - slow but intentional - and my love for Kamran as a character. Well the story is STILL SO INCREDIBLE but LOL not a Kamran fan anymore! I’m definitely team Cyrus and their tension was so heartwrencing. It was interesting getting to see Alizeh start to explore her new life and the development of her character and her strength has been fun to follow. Kamran is honestly starting to make an ass of himself (Tamlin energy tbh but make him more spoiled elitist) so I’m definitely hoping Cyrus is indeed more complex than how he was initially described.
