It seems sort of wrong to say this book is a great listen and quite funny, when it is really horrifying that so many racist things have happened to one Black woman in America.

A constant mix of laughing and what-the-fuck. A must read for all white people.

This book is hilarious. And horrible. If you honestly doubt the racism in this country, please read this book. I learned from it, and gauged insight on a way that will stick with me more than the books that just want me to feel guilty. I listened to it, and the audiobook was great, but the print book has pictures that were described, but that I would still like to see.

Mind-boggling, even when you know you shouldn't be surprised. Amber and Lacey are great story-tellers.

It's hard to categorize such a heavy book as also funny but it is. A fast read of hilariously bad racist encounters.
