the first 19 chapters were SO GOOD. probably a 4/5 until that point. unfortunately once the mysterious tension between wyn and harriet was gone i was no longer intrigued, and emily henry is not great at describing how being off an edible is. i’m not too mad about it though, i’ve never read a book thats got it right and not cringy. but this was painful. towards the end there was especially SOOO MUCH EXPOSITION DUMPS IN THE DIALOGUE. like, a bad amount. also there are like, 3 climaxes? this just seemed to get sloppy after chapter 19, which is unfortunate because i like this story more than book lovers. there was a lot of potential but it was not executed well.

The ending of this book makes me want to scream. It’s a disgrace to women. It’s wildly unrealistic which takes away from the otherwise moderately realistic story.
