The first half of this book tasted like a spoonful of sugary sweet nostalgia - an iced coffee on the first spring day, waking up to a snow day, driving by your college campus - just all the warm feels. I had to stop reading every 3 pages because it was squeezing my heart with both the good and the bad bittersweet sadness that nostalgia brings. The second half kind of fell flat for me, mainly because I didn’t love the supporting characters and wish we got more flashbacks with the buildup of their relationships prior to the present. But at the end of the day, Emily Henry is the queen of chemistry, making you fall in love with a place and a couple like no one else can.

This was super slow in the beginning, then fast at the end. Better than [b:People We Meet on Vacation|54985743|People We Meet on Vacation|Emily Henry|https://i.gr-assets.com/images/S/compressed.photo.goodreads.com/books/1618913179l/54985743._SX50_.jpg|67832306]

Was very scared about this one bc the whole exes to lovers trope has weird vibes but it was executed v well. Was hard to suspend my disbelief whenever Harriet said or thought anything medical, but otherwise was very cute and real.
