If you're a hypochondriac and has death anxiety like me, it will be difficult getting through this book at first, but I'm a Klune fan so I knew I would enjoy it eventually. About halfway I could finally get into it properly and the rest of the book flew by. I cried and cried and cried and now I'm tired but satisfied. I loved the characters, the scenery and the message, a beautiful book about grief and acceptance and family.
Moderate: Grief and Death
Minor: Cancer, Car accident, Child death, Murder, Panic attacks/disorders, Suicide, and Animal death

i am truly at a loss of words. this book was exceptionally good, landing itself in my top 5 books of this year and honestly one of my favorite books ever read. the story was so powerful and beautifully written, giving me so much that i didn’t even know i needed. when i tell you i fell in love with each and every one of these characters, that would be an understatement. wallace, god, i loved his growth and just how much can be learned from his story. hugo was just simply wonderful. mei was so feisty when absolutely necessary and she made me smile like crazy. and then there was nelson and apollo who made this story so much more. GOD the amount of pure love that was displayed in this story was remarkable. i don’t think that i’ve ever felt this invested in a group of characters before, in a standalone book that is. i just know that i’ve learned so much from their stories, regarding life, death, family and love. this is a story that’ll stay with me forever. it deserves a million stars. please read this book!
