“You’re going to be the end of me. And i welcome my demise.”
“I loved you when I didn’t like you.”
Since in Kingdom of the Wicked, gluttony and Adrianna’s relationship was already set up as tumultuous I was STOKED for this book, however it was such a let down especially in comparison to the first. It was still good don’t get me wrong but I expected more from gluttony and he didn’t deliver.
The relationship is honestly probably my favorite part of the story but I think this could’ve benefited from just better plot. The pacing felt wildly off and some jumps in plot made it strange. For instance the entire 3 chapters of deciding to make Adri the reporter for the competition all for her to reject it, regardless of how desperately she should’ve?? Way too much time was wasted on setting that up for it to fall through and settle on Eden to convince her to come with, all for her to STILL write articles about the comp?? At that point take the money stupid. So many instances of long drawn out plot set ups, them falling through, and the most random last minute solution to work was irritating at best.
I will say, I did really enjoy the fact that while his sin is gluttony, in their relationship they didn’t get to “indulge” for a long time. It made it really interesting and a good contrast to the others so far.
If anyone ever gave me the nickname “aids” we would have to fight right then and there.
This felt like a Cinderella/Bridgerton collab and it was honestly pretty interesting for the world building but I don’t understand the entire stepmother bit. She’s horrendous and it it sprinkled in, but has no impact on the plot whatsoever. Another long set up for nothing to pan out. I get she would’ve been way too obvious of a villain but she was able to be terrible to Adrianna, and had 0 repercussions or effects?
Overall I wanted so much more from this but it wasn’t bad, and I will without a doubt continue the series bc I can’t get enough of these men🫶

Incredible! A plot twist I absolutely didn't see coming! MY FAVORITE AUTHOR FOR SURE!
I want to give this book a lower rating, but I truly love the Princes and have to continue with their story. The multiple plots in this one had promise, but I think there was too much going on overall.
