kerri once again does it again - making me simultaneously invested in yet another sinful couple 🥲 while the book is labeled as rivals to lovers, I’d say it’s definitely more enemies to lovers as the two MCs were never truly rivals with one another…

gluttony, aka gabriel, aka axton, is THAT MAN 😛 he oozes charm while secretly pining for a mortal and having the biggest heart of gold!! and I love this about him, even if he’s an idiot in love sometimes!!

adriana, on the other hand, was fierce and protective of her own heart, perhaps a little too much sometimes - and while I adore an enemies to lovers scenario, the reasoning (and misunderstanding) behind it was a little too anticlimactic for my taste 🧐

what was utterly wasted, in my opinion, were the ice dragons!!! why yes there are cute baby ice dragons and yes they are the underlying plot throughout the story, but I wanted so much more!! silvanus gave all of the tairn vibes, and it was a damn shame we only got to hear him talk like twice!!

for a romantasy novel, it was excellent, but it did leave me thinking that the ending was all too convenient and rushed. I would have liked to see more conflict with the dragons and surrounding areas - and less blame on a magical object from ten years ago that didn’t even make an appearance until the last 100 pages of the book 👀
