Another delight in the National Geographic Kids series. Wonderful photography, interesting facts, on-page definitions, and a few jokes. Suitable for ages 6 - 9 reading on their own. Appropriate for even younger folks with the help of an experienced reader.

As a teenager, I am obviously not the target demographic of this book. However, I wanted to learn about turtles, so I picked it up.

It is very clear and concise and has given me a lot of information about turtles.

National Geographic Kids- Sea Turtles. It is written and illustrated by Laura Marsh. Published 2011, great for ages 6+. Could read to kids younger but I don't think they would understand as well. In this book we learn about sea turtle's lives. We learn about what happens when they hatch to when they are older. As well as what they eat and where they live in the water. It also shares how we can help make sure sea turtles stay safe. This book talks about different types of sea turtles as well. In the classroom <informational> texts are great to read or have the students read to learn about different types of animals. This could be used to teach about sea turtles, as well as, how to protect them. This book is one of many in the national geographic kids books. There are many more that talk about a bunch of other animals! Pretty much all of these books could bemused in the classroom to teach about animals!
