That was lovely! Yay for Mal! I'm so glad he finally stood up for himself and realized who he is. Thank goodness for Wes being there for him, showing him what family, friends, and love is about. Feel good story! ♡

I really loved this story! Such a sweet story about a young guy realizing he's gay and totally falling for his new neighbor/friend. Mal was a dear and Wes was too damn cute. I wish Mal would have felt comfortable with his family but I can totally understand why he was just glad to leave things as is and really find himself as a part of Wes' family. (Loved Wes's family by the way).

I tried to put the following comment in the comments, but it got messed up, so I am posting it here in the review.
Too much sex for me personally, since it is not my thing. I was skipping pages like crazy through the second part of the book, but what did I expect from a story about two very young hot men? The rest of it was sweet, summer-y and perfect and I am SO not going to take any stars off for something I didn't even read... much... ok, I did read tiny parts of it and it was hot - lol

I've been on a winning streak with these ebooks. This one rates 4 1/2 and was another entertaining, take you away kind of book. Very tender, sweet and super sexy. Just do yourself a favor and don't look at that horrifying cover.

My Summer of boinking Wes is a sugar filled little number that is sure to cause some cavities.

I think I've become very cynical in my old age but I found the level of 'love' a bit hard to believe and I could of done with a bit of angst to be honest. Turns out I like me a bit of heartache so I can avoid the toothaches. I also felt there was a few things that were left unresolved but it looks like this is going to be part of a series so I guess those things will be dealt with in upcoming books.

I did enjoy Mal and Wes and their story, when it wasn't over the top sweet it was over the top smexy and I like that kind of over the top. It's a total feel good book and would be perfect if you are a bit pissed off at the world and need something to perk you up. If there are more Mal and Wes books to come I will totally read them but I'll probably leave them for a day that I want to punch people for being idiots so that all that sugar can sweeten me up a bit.

Thank you to the lovely ladies Susan, Kat, Heidi, Karen, Cristina, Elsbeth and Sonia for the BR. Sorry I wasn't very active.

And thanks millions to Susan for the recommendation. Even though it was a bit too sweet for me it was a fun one and hot. ;)

What a delightful read! So this starts off very YA-like. Tra-la-la, Mal and Wes meet when Wes moves into the neighborhood. Mal just finished high school and is biding his time to get away from his town, his emotionally distant and cruel parents, his bullies and begin life. He hasn't defined his sexuality but has spent his time just surviving adolescence and high school. Tra-la-la he meets Wes and you think, ok, goodie, a friend for Mal. So now they will be best friends and can hang out and fix cars. Well around 30% - whammo! We take a nice little turn into erotica. These guys were so sweet, so romantic. I loved the development of their relationship - slow burn, allowing both MCs to blossom, each in his own way. Mal was sweet, brave, strong and in his very innocent way, sexy. Boy when he discovered sex with Wes, he became quite the insatiable beast. Mal's experiences
with on line porn and his experimentation on his own body were hysterical
. I was so surprised by the level of emotion I felt with this book. That situation with his hateful parents was heartbreaking. My gosh! Strong writing - quirky, funny with great secondary characters. So good! I think this was my first Missy Welsh but will definitely read more by her.
