Sweeping drama and fascinating history. -- Louise S.

This is one of my all-time favorite books! I love the way Margaret Mitchell weaves the story of a spoiled but yet smart and practical Scarlett O'Hara! Every woman should read this book.

I'm sorry. Don't kill me. But...I couldn't get past 200 pages. It was so great in the beginning but then it dragged on about the same old crap as hard as Pretty Little Liars (the show) and I wanted to scream. I was so freaking bored. The plot wasn't happening and the writing was sluggish and not really in the beautiful way. In the boring way. I know a lot of people love this, so maybe one day when I'm older I will give it another try. I read this book at 18. But for now, just NOPE.

A book I’d recommend if you have time on your hands.

Finally off my TBR list

Well-written story of a time and place. I believe it’s a book I will pick up from time to time and dip back into to visit the characters and the world Mitchell created. All the stars.

Me gustó mucho, muy lento en ciertas partes y difícil de leer por el inglés antiguo y la alta carga de contexto histórico
Muy en desacuerdo con el racismo proyectado

It is really hard to rate this because I have e such complicated feelings. GWTW is incredibly, horrifically racist, sexist and antisemitic, and yet it is a compelling read. And it's a novel that has become an ingrained part of American culture and shows a false version of the past that many people still believe today.
