Tried reading this today but I couldn’t get into the writing. I knew the style would annoy me for the nearly 1000 pages. I’ll try watching the movie but the book is not for me.
This book comes alive! It’s the kind of book that, when you’re done, you want to open up and start again at page 1.
Gone with the Wind is officially the longest audiobook I have ever listened to clocking in at over 49 hours. The book is a big undertaking but it is among the most engrossing novels I have ever read.
Quite possibly the greatest piece of literature I have ever read. A walloping 1000-plus pages of excellent writing with a heart-wrenching story--I literally could not put it down, and I never wanted it to end. I wanted to spend the rest of my life reading this book.
