Subjectively, I give this 5 stars. It significantly helped in visualising my negative emotions so that I may create a framework to use these emotions in a healthy, positive manner. There are moments where I cannot help but raise my eyebrow at. (Attempts to forgive Hitler; forgive constant ongoing war.)

I think this book can significantly help any individual to reach a state of comfort or contentness which many people today like to argue that it is because of (         ) reason that people today aren't 'happy'. Can't people look for greater things ahead? Yes, comfort is nice; many of us struggle just to be comfortable, but can we not look towards exceptional horizons?

The book argues that self sacrifice is unnecessary to progress as an individual and this I would agree. But, when it comes to systems of governance; for those in power to think that what THEY think is what's best for the greater populace is absolute lunacy. It's relieving to know that I will always be good, but if we want things to be Great, sacrifices have always been made.

This book will unlock superpowers for the liberal individual.

Took me a while to get through this. And am still not fully through it. In fact, this is gonna be a book I often refer to. I bought a physical copy of this book today.

I’ve experienced a lot of “letting go” moments in the last few years. I find everything he discusses in the book go be reasonable and possible. But I still ask myself the question, so how do I actually surrender. How do I actually let go?

Amazing topic and theme, but the claims are outlandish...really hard to get through as a result. Skipped a bunch of the chapters. Read “surrender experiment” by Michael Singer instead

I wouldn't normally choose to read a book like this one, but when a friend recommended it to me as a means to focus my mind on something other than the deep pit I was in, I couldn't resist.

Apart from a few concepts that I find slightly over-the-top, I can't say enough how much this book changed my life. Adopting the practice of letting go has been a key factor in overcoming my internal struggles with depression and anxiety.

I'll definitely read this a couple more times in my life. A must read for anyone who's looking to transform their lives

Great book, good examples, and really helps those of us that hang on to things we don’t need to.
