decided to read this because i had read the title story before. i quite liked it, and cat person is still my favorite of all the stories here. it's realistic as much as it's uncomfortable and i understand that the main character makes questionable decisions, which is why people are divided when it comes to their opinions on the story. i liked it because again, i think it's just so real. it also serves as a good commentary on misogyny and how women might feel when they're in pretty terrible relationships.
other than that, i thought many of the stories were interesting. almost all of them but especially bad boy. i liked the weirdness most of the time, and other times it bored me. i do think that the author is very good at writing horror for sure, that really stood out. still, none of the stories except cat person are super memorable to me. not to say that this is a bad collection, because it really isn't.
