06.09.2017: Funny, almost exactly one year after reading it for the first time I read it again due to it being a parting gift of our Au-pair. This time around I got a bit more out of it. The passivity that I criticized the first time felt like horror and dread this time. Maybe worth a third read later on.

09.09.2016: At school I was forced to read 'Homo Faber' and this experience definitely had a bad impression on this book.
I found it very near in tone to it and the protagonist very nihilistic. But as Piulhaniuk's Nihilists are active and destructive, this one was only passive and somehow everything seemed unimportant.
