As a former pathological people pleaser I relate to Elsie alot. This is one of my favorite Ali Hazelwood books yet.
I will never understand all of the Hazelwood Hate. I loved this book!
I loved physicist Elsie Hannaway. By day, she's an adjunct professor hoping to land tenure, but she's also a professional fake girlfriend with the ability to be exactly what other people need. She is quite adept as a chameleon.
As much as I liked Elsie, I also really liked watching her two worlds collide when she realizes Jack, the older brother of her favorite client, is also her professional nemesis. These two characters had great chemistry and tension. I loved them together.
This book is even more academia-heavy than a lot of the author's other work, but it doesn't bog the book down, and it's easy to read and understand.

Ali’s writing seriously just hits every time. Absolutely adore every single AH man.
Jeesh, I've never seen a character that is so smart and so unspeakably dumb at the same time. "Dimwitted" comes to mind. Anyway, fun read.

Me encantò el cameo de Olive y Adam y tambièn la pequeña mención de Bee.
Lo recomiendo mucho si quieren leer algo ligero.
