Jeesh, I've never seen a character that is so smart and so unspeakably dumb at the same time. "Dimwitted" comes to mind. Anyway, fun read.

It’s sweet and funny and nice to see science types as the main characters.

But Elsie’s obliviousness and the projecting of the plot points were a little tiring.  And Jack’s hotness is just too much. I spent a lot of time in a faculty of science; this jack doesn't exist. Like Jamie in outlander, I’m of Scottish descent, I’ve been to Scotland. Who is this Jamie??  Why can’t two nerds fall in love?

And the sex scenes were *ridonkulous*. I felt sorry for the audiobook narrator.  I like jasmine Guillory’s ‘by the book’- no sex scenes. A sweet kiss and a fade to black.  I like happy endings and people falling in love, I don’t need yet another too long, basically identical, sex scene.  Why books are better than audiobooks, easier to skip ahead, back to the story.

so embarrassingly good
