I really enjoy this series. I have a particular fondness for this part of the world and I enjoy the inclusion of indigenous culture and characters. The characters are good people, which is not always the case and makes this series enjoyable.

I love this series and I keep re-reading the old ones so I don't get caught up with the newer books...I want the series to last. This is the story of Shiloh and the search for her...and the truth. I listened to this one on audiobook. This is one of the few books that I'd rather listed to on audio books, so I don't have to try and translate the Anishinaabe language. Just a great book and tale!

Thanks heavens Mr. Krueger’s writing is improving. His beautiful prose and scene setting has stayed clean and direct. Thankfully his story line has begun to do so too. Now I look forward to the next Cork O’Connor mystery.

A good story of how greed is deadly. The thing I love about these books is how they are mostly about the people with some mystery thriller on the side.
