I’m a simple girl, I see golden retriever energy and I fold. Especially a reformed playboy and I’m deceased. One of my favourite books and a rare reread too

This was an interesting romance novel; I enjoyed it overall, even though the number of times the characters "screamed" or "shrieked" at each other was pretty overwhelming and there was a never-ending feeling of two steps forward, one step back for the central relationship of Olivia and Carter.  But the chaos of this friend group is fun to follow, and I'll keep reading as I think I'll be more interested in the upcoming book about
Garrett and Jennie
.

Carter Beckett wow I was not expecting him to go all in. But to be fair Emmett did tell him that one day a girl was going walk into his life and flip his entire world upside and he wouldn’t know what to do with himself. And Carter said and that will be the day I settle down. And that’s exactly what happens Olivia walked in and flipped his entire world upside down (as Carter did for her) and he was obsessed and in love he didn’t know what to. And he knew right away with her sarcastic tone that she was the one, he was never letting go.
Can we talk about the skating date, then the slumber party with her niece and nephew, oh and where they go fishing and then visit Carter’s father cemetery?! These moments made the swooning go overboard.
The side characters within in this book were the whip cream and cherry on top of the damn sundae. Hank had me dying out laughing 99% of the time he talked. The teammates are the best extra family addition and Olivia’s niece I just loved her, did I tear up when she said she loved Carter? Maybe. Also teared up when he changed the damn door code.
But it was the final moments in the epilogue that had me dying me out laughing because it was the most Carter Beckett thing ever.
Was this book long? Yes but it was worth every single page. I don’t even care about the length it was worth it.
